Abstract

This study aimed to examine effects of healthy habits and personality traits life satisfaction and successful aging among the Korean baby boom generation. The study variables were analyzed using serial mediation analyses. The effects of personality traits(i.e., openness to experience, conscientiousness, and neuroticism) on life satisfaction and successful aging were mediated the levels of physical activity and problematic sleep quality. The mediation paths linking extraversion and satisfaction with life were not significant. The effects of agreeableness, extraversion, and neuroticism on life satisfaction and successful aging were significantly mediated through the level of problematic dietary behavior pattern.
